Last week I was working at Enlightened Warrior Training Camp in New York. Everytime I work one of these camps I get strengthened and reminded of the ways of a warrior. One of those ways is that I am bigger than any obstacle. Well while I was in the final days of camp and the changing of many lives I received a phone call that my home was seriously damaged by water. In pursueing the the explaination I learned that my friend who was watching over my animals left the water running in my master bathroom for several hours at full force damaging the upstairs but more so the downstairs as the water ran throughout the walls and ceilings.
Now the first thing said to me as people began to hear of the disaster was "Are you mad at her" and my answer is no. Her intentions were good and fortunately things are replaceable and real friends are not. However the news that came to me as I landed back in Las Vegas to start putting a wet life back together was that the insurance company was not covering the damages and I would have to foot this project on my own. There are legitimate reasons that the coverage is minimal but I now have to remember that I am not only a Warrior but I am a Wizard as well. I will stay calm and centered regardless of anything.
Through all of my training I have taught and learned one thing...and that is if you do not ask you will not receive. And at times you must be a receiver as well as a giver. So I chose to ask for assistance from my internet friends, affiliates, associates, readers, purchasers, Tweeters and everyone who has been even a small part of my life. I watched as a nation and many businesses gave to rebuild the lives of thousands who lost their homes in Haiti, Louisiana, and several other location devastated by disasters. And I gave to countless causes to assist in those restorations never dreaming that someday I would remotely experience what they did. Fortunately many of my furnishings were spared but the structural damage is extensive.
From my heart I now ask for any donation from the thousands that I have been in touch with for the past several years to help me put back together this place that I call home and welcome all that choose to visit. Every dollar matters. And the appreciation is beyond a simple Thank You.
