Partner or No Partner, A Signed Agreement Says It All

Internet marketing has grown enormously in the past few years but has taken an amazing jump since the economy began to falter in the past two years.  Along with that growth became increasing risk when it cam to working with and/or for someone doing any kind of marketing or web development.  What has been increasing as well is that there are instances when work is being done but the appropriate reimbusment is not taking place.  Is one of these people you?

Well, one of them happened to be me in the past few months and I mistook someone's word for trust and ended up getting burned. The reward was a lesson well learned but the risk was not getting paid to do the business development because of one simple flaw.... a signed agreement.  I had created a logo, uploaded a website, developed a new autoresponder and campaign, created business card and flyers and maintaining the Twitter account before getting my signed business agreement.  And yes you guessed it....I not only did not get paid to do these things, I was told I was out of luck because I was not covering my partners back. Go Figure. 

Fortunately, I was able to get the website down, remove the Twitter account and withheld the card templates.  So my recommendation is to either prebill and get paid prior to even starting to engage in internet work or get a signed document before releasing and work created to market for someone else.  It is easy to be left high and dry without documentation.  But you will also learn the character of the individual in the process. 

The internet is an outstanding interim to do business and meet new people.  But it also,without proper presentation can be a place where others are being taken advantage of and not realize it until it is too late to correct the situation.  So especially if you are a Newbie in the world of internet marketing, be aware that the vastness of the internet can not only make you successful, it can also swallow you up as well.  Pay attenteion to the people you are dealing with and their manner of dealing with certain issues.  Their actions will speak much louder than their words and their character will emerge and you will see what principles they do or do not value.  But most of all, be aware that succesful people in any business do not work for free, that is why they are successful.

Happy New Year ! Instead Of Resolutions, Try Redirecting Your Success Journey

Yes, it is January 2 already in the new year and what a great celebration there was here in Las Vegas.  Not only was it a celebration of the accomplishments of the past year but a positive look into the future just ahead.

    

There were some who did not have a very prosperous year and as a matter of fact may have lost jobs and homes.   For them it was almost a relief that the year 2009 was over.  And there were some that did quite well dispite the crash in the economy.  But for all people there is a new beginning starring us in the face and the question is...what are you going to do with the opportunity that lies ahead?  If your year was not quite like you had planned you can mope and complain or you can redirect for tomorrow.

Resolutions are just long term goals and usually things on the list are things you did not accomplish from last year's list.  The key to creating a brighter future is to re-evaluate where you have come from and where you want to go.  Then redirect your steps in the direction of your anticipated success. To keep putting the same items on your list that you had not accomplished last year is like shooting yourself and the foot and expecting to run a race.  Think again.

If you are one that did reach their goals and dreams or finished a race then here is what comes next.  Dream another dream bigger and better than the last.  Begin another new race longer and more difficult than the last.  Climb another higher mountain, make another friend, help another someone in need, share another moment.  The end of one thing is always the beginning of another, it's a matter of reaching for the prize and 2010 holds so much for each of us if we choose to take another step.  Whatever your desired lifestyle or future looks like to you, Go For It.   And don't stop till you get there!

With The New Year Almost Here, It Is Time to Focus On New Goals For Success

The year 2009 is coming to a close and a time of reflection is at hand.  This reflection will give you a very good idea of what you need to focus on as far as goal, acheivements, time management, continued education and a variety of other catagories that contibute to your success.  This refocus applies whether you are in business online or offline and event if you are still an employee.  Your future depends on your attitude, your character and your commitment to whatever it is that will create a lifestyle you choose to enjoy.

Where is your mindset as you move into the new year?  Are you an entrepreuner and how high is your success thinking?  Do you have a millionaire mind or are you still a thousandaire mind?  All these questions are ones that need to be considered when creating a new outlook for 2010.  There are resources available to those who wish to advance in their lives.  If you do not have a mentor, coach or someone that you are modeling after, that might be one of your first decisions to make.  Who inspires me, who encourages me, who is succeeding that I want to be like and teaches what I need to know to get there? 

If you are a Newbie online and building an internet marketing platform, do not be afraid to invest not only time but a little cash to build yorself a strong foundation.  But be sure that who you are investing your trust and your hard earned dollars in is credible, honest, a product of their own teachin. if you are using affiliate marketing to build your abundance, be sure that the material you are promoting is credible as well.

The next thing that you must understand in anything you do is that there is a Universal Law that applies in everything.  Your thought process is energy that is sent into the universe and is the very essence of what returns to you.  So keep your thoughts positive and keep a journal of your daily achievements as a reference for the days ahead.  These successes are built upon continually and service milestones in your journey.  And yes, success is a journey.  How you choose to travel that road is truely up to you.

So as you begin to create your new goals for 2010, create attainable goals and ones that can be built upon and don't be afraid to invest....time...money...faith and be committed to your success.  With each reach goal, you are closer to making your lifes dreams become reality.  And whatever you do Celebrate each achievement no matter how big or how small.  Each one is a stepping stone to the future. 

Don't Let Someone Else Get Your Front Row Seat

Continued education is one of the ways to not only create but maintain success especially with the economic conditions of today.  So the attendance of seminars and courses is on the rise as people strive to make profitable changes in their lives in the wake of layoffs and financial difficulties.  But haw can you be even more successful while utilizing this avenue of advancement.

The first thing you need to do is show up.  Many people go to a seminar but they themselves do not really show up.  They have their cell phones on and take calls during sessions and chat in the hall ways instead of focusing on the content of the event.  Is this how you show in other parts of your life as well? In your employment, your relationship, with your family.   Not 100% present.

The second thing that you need to make a priority is to be on time if not early.  It is true that people do not want to be in the front row or anywhere near the front.  So how is that working in your life? Do you think there may be a corilation to why you are not near the front of the pack or at the top of the ladder in your success.  Yes, I know there are only so many places available  at the front but are you going to give up your spot to someone else because you do not make it a priority to be early.  If you can not be early at least be on time. 

Take a look at how you manage your life and your time and I will bet that you will see that what you do and blow off as unimportant are the very things that are keeping you from your success. And even making a few small adjustments can mean enormous progress on your road to wealth and success.  Don't let someone else take your front row seat.

Your Mindset Is What Determines Success Not Only In Your Business But In Your Life

There was a book written back in 1988 called 'How You Do Anything Is How You Do Everything' by author Cheri Huber. Since then several people have used this saying and it has become quite popular. The meaning is quite simply in that if you apply a certain set of proven success principles and habits to one area of your life, you can also do the same in others areas of your life as well.  The same goes with not so successful principles and habits.  So what you do anytime is usually what you do everytime. and if you want to change the everytime you must change the anytime.

By using the same principles and being consistent with what you do, you can understand the importance of having balance in your life which will lead to achieving financial success, health, and even relationships success as well.

You can certainly apply this to building an online business.  That task is really simple, but it is not always easy. If you follow the steps that have worked for so many other people, you too can and will achieve success in whatever field you are in. That is called getting into the right mindset. Once your thinking is lined up with the business of marketing on the internet, you will have a financially successful business. When you think about your inner game, building your online business will become something that improves as well as all every other area of your life. Procrastination will kill your forward movement.  Now is the best time to develop the charactistics necessary to reach your goals. No matter where you may be in your life you you desire and deserve more.  So what is stopping you now?  Implement these principles and you will experience syou success growth in outsatanding ways.

A Winning Attitude Sometimes Requires Your Leading Others To Success

With the economy under such stress and financial concerns on the rise, it has become obvious that some of us need a change in stratekgy.  It has become apparent that there is a rising need to have good partners to succeed.  An not necessarily partners in the usual sense of the word.  It has become a must to surround yourself with people who have the same commitment, the same goals, the same desires to succeed and the same vision.  Seth Godin put is very well in Leadership is now the strongest marketing strategy when he says that "People want to connect and they want you to connect them."

The rules of the game of life are the same for everyone. However, some fall way below their means and believe that they can not win, some flat out fail and some people also win big.  If the rules of the game are the same for everyon the what is the difference.  It is the mindset of the people involved.  If you can adjust the way you think or your mindset to a winning mode, you win at whatever game you choose to play.  And you will find the there will be othere that want to become a part of your winning strategy. 

When there is more than one player on the playing field, there is an exchange of resources as well as a sharing of principles and ideas.  During this process the overall thinking becomes success thinking.  With a certain amount of your own success, you then become a mentor or a leader to those looking for the road to travel on their journey to success.  After all, wasn't it someone else who mentored you.

Living In The Moment

I'm sure you have heard of the phrase "Living in the moment".  What does that really mean and how does it directly affect you and your life?  Many times we can go through our day and wonder about things that need to get done, what will happen if, and so on.  Unfortunately in personal and in business you can miss out on opportunities by living in the past or future instead of living in the now. 

By not staying present, the probability arises that whatever it is you are doing at the time will lack the full impact or joy you can experience by worrying about something that either does not exist or has passed you by. Worry about the unknown can rob you of the very things that can advance you in business or an opportunity to experience an activity or emotion that presents itself in the now.  A person will refrain from taking a step forward in many areas of their lives because the moment passes due to fear or hesitation.  Alot of times these things happen because we have fear about what others may think. 

When you begin to live in the moment, your attitude will begin to change.  You will become more productive in your life and you adopt different principles by which you live and do business.  Success thinking is living in the moment.  It sees an opportunity and takes it while it is in the now.  When you do not take those moments your "What if's" become "Should have's" and "How come I didn't".  It is never too late to start living in the moment.  And when you do, you will see that there is so much more of life to live when you remove the element of hesitation caused by fear.  So "Go for it"!

What Does It Mean To Give Your 100%

I am sure many have heard the phrase "Give 100%".  What does that really mean exactly? And are you giving 100% or not? 

Recently, I was at a camp where you were asked to give 100%.  what it meant was to give YOUR 100% and not 100% of anyone's capabilities.  Not everyone is able to give equally but they can give 100% of what they can do and then stretch from there.  Most people do not stretch themselves, nor do they give all they have either.  Most take the easy way out and stop when the going gets a little tough or challenging.  They will say they tried but in actuallity they coped out and cut themselves short.  And then they wonder why they are not getting ahead.

How many times does this play out in your success as well?  Do just enough to get by and and whine when things do not work out.  Success Thinking includes having a "Go For It" attitude and using principles learned in a continued education and apply them over and over again.   Most of the time our personal 100% is much higher that we will stretch or give ourrselves credit for.  So the question still remains... Are you giving your 100%?  If not it is time to step up to the plate and start swinging!  You may be surprised at how many Home Runs you will hit when you do.
