There Is a Difference between being a Supervisor and Excellent Leadership

It is very surprising that many individuals believe that just because they are in a supervisor position that they are a good leader.  Unfortunately this is not the case more often than not. There is a huge difference between being a good or excellent leader and supervising a group of people and not all supervisors possess the qualities of a good leader.

A good leader is considerate. He or she  realizes that without the others on the team there is no need for a leader

A good leader is also a good follower.  Not all leadership is at the front of the line.

A good leader is fair to the circumstance and the individuals involved.

A good leader know how to give, take and evaluate feedback.

A good leader can make adjustments. He or she is adaptable and does not claim to know it all. 

A good leader communicates in a manner that is understood by others and redirects when necessary when communication is hindered.

A good leader know when and when not to delegate.

The way in which a good leader implements these qualities comes with a certain amount of discipline.  This is something that many supervisors do not possess.  They not only do not display the qualities but they themselves do not own the discipline necessary to lead others to victory so they become know as sheep herders.  Do you know which you are.....Just a supervisor calling the shots or an excellent leader?

You Must Change Your Mindset To Take Your Success And Wealth To The Next Level

Contrary to what a large number of people believe, marketing is not rocket science. Marketing does require consistancy and systems in place to be effective.  This is where a change of mindset probably needs to take place when setting and reaching goals for a new lifestyle.  Because marketing is not just a minor part of building a business, it is just as important as what it is that you do or promote. There are tons of people looking for what you have to offer.

Now that the economy has taken a nose dive, there are people left without jobs that are looking for a different form of income.  But there is a difference in the mindset of those who are seeking to build business especially online.  Some people are only looking for opportunity and some are ready to become entrepreneurs.

In his blog post Entrepreneurial Versus Opportunistic Thinking  Greg Martin talks about the difference between being an entreperneur and an opportunity seeker. He says that opportunity seekers only jump busines system to business system only to give up when things do not work out the way they want, when they want.  The entreperneur on the other hand, think long term and do not give up at the first turn. They understand that newlifestyles are created with persistance and even hard work.

So it is important to understand just where your thought pattern is leading you.  Are you looking for a get rich plan or are you willing to invest the time and the effort to create a solid foundation in which to build your life.  Having a do whatever it takes attitude will get you where you want to go.  so keep in mind that it took alot of years and work for the overnight success to appear. 

Managing Your Time Becomes More Critcal As You Become More Successful

Successful does not happen overnight and a common remark made as people succeed is that instead of having more time they tend to run out of hours in their day.  They make lists and find that even the items on the  lists are not getting done and frustration sets in.  There are a few things that you can to to help you throught this situtation.

Developing good habits is a place that usually needs assistance.  Success breeds success by learning successful habits.  Luck just doesn't exist. I believe in blessing not luck.  Find your strengths and do not focus on your weeknesses.  Nobody can take your success away so don't call it luck.

Learn to delegate.  The more successful you become the more you need to delgate some of the things that can and should be done by others.  This involves a fair amount of trust as well.  But more success comes when you learn to delegate.  This frees you to do wht is needed on the frontside while the technical tasks are taken care of on the back side.  You can then grow your business instead of stagnate in the pools of unfinished projects.

When you learn to do these two things you will see an upsurge of success in you business and your life.  You can not do it all alone and besides who wants to?  Isn't a part of success sharing with others?

Controlling Your Little Voice Builds Confidence and Greatness

There are people whose little voice has been keeping them from success for some time now and they do not even realize that it is happening.  When you give them a compliment, they have a habit of self depriciating themselves and snatch defeat right from the very victory they earned.  Too much of this uncontrolled habit can reduce confidence and energy.

Managing that little voice allows you to stay in the moment, present and engaged with whoever is giving the compliment.  Otherwise the person giving the compliment can feel that you do not appreciate them and have blown them off.  It is very important to say Thank You and celebrate the win so you can build on it, not discount the victory.  Once you have learned to control the little voice in your own mind you can choose a different direction and continue to move on.  You will find yourself more productive when you can redirect your thoughts in a positive direction.  You do not want to get rid of that voice, the object is to manage it and uderstand just where it is coming from. 

People who have the ability to move on to greatness are those that can look inside and question their motives, assess where they are and challenge assumptions that are long held.  A good leader is someone who is able to make changes in order to move into bigger roles.  You must become personally accountable for your thinking which in turn will give you a huge amount of power.  Always remember that the road to financial success is paved by personal development.  The key is to take action when you are in doubt.  This is the difference between playing a small game or playing a big game.  Leaders learn how to manage their thoughts or that little voice then they act and correct then act and correct again.  This keeps you taking the next step forward.  it is then that you will notice that yur life will take on a new meaning and the results that you wish will accelerate giving you more control over you life.

Busy Does Not always Mean Productive

How many times have you noticed that things don't always go according to plan?  Most entrepreneurs are overloaded and very much out of control.  People do not realize that the brain can not be available 24/7.  The brain can not focus on two demanding things at one time therefore multi-tasking will only eventually frazzle the brain.  Just because you are busy does not mean you are being productive either.  If you are not intentional then life will be in control of you.  This is information received from Dr Edward Hallowell author of the book success book Crazy Busy.  Dr Hallowell suggests we get rid of our blackberry or turn it off for some well needed time to ourselves.  It is suggested to get a planner and set aside a fresh half hour for yourself.  Everyone has a morning burst and that time should be used to tackle more difficult tasks not to answer email.  It is also recommended to get a sufficient amount of sleep as well.  So when you find yourself stuck to your computer screen or laptop better know as "screen sucking" you know that it is time to take a "time out" and prioritize your life so that overload does not become something you get familiar with in the future.  You will find that your attitude will be more positive when you give yourself some breathing room to focus on one thing at a time and do it properly.  You will also find that you get more done as well.

Promote Yourself -It Creates Value For Your Busness

Successful people have Learne the value of promoting their products and/or services.  They have also embraced the value of promoting themselves.  Unsuccessful people resent the idea of selling themselves and are negative about promoting themselves.  This resentment is one of the greatest obstacles to sucess.  They sometimes feel that their product or service with sell or promote itself.  What they do not understand is that a perspective customer is looking at the people behind the product or service to see if that is the kind of person who they want to do business.  I f your customer is happy with the people behind the product or service, chances are, they will do business and repeat their business deallings.  So do yourself and your business a favor and Promote Yourself.
