Creating An Opt In List Is A Must When Building An Internet Business

Whether you are new to the internet or have been around for awhile, making money on the internet does not have to be very difficult. but one of the most important elements that tends to get overlooked is the importance of building your opt in list.Your list is the collection of people who have requested something from you and you can then keep them informed of other things that you are offering that they may want.  They are also great word of mouth to their online friends and business associates as well. 

There are times when some people will joint venture and use the power of each others lists to increase revenue.  If you do not have a large list but have a new product or service you may be launching,  you can contact other business owners who do have a large list.  Unsually there is a revenue split of some kind to the list owner to make it a win/win situation for all involved.  Your promotion is then sent out to the larger list for wider distribution and sales.

So one of the first things that you will do when setting up your blog or website is to create an opt in box and something to give to those who sign up.  Once that is in place you will stay in contact with these subscribers by autoresponder with tips and offers in your niche and watch your business grow.

Creating and posting to a blog on a regular basis can increase your visability online dramatically.  Once you have decided on the niche you want to pursue, you will want to find some good keywords or key phrases and a domain name that reflects these words or phrases.  This way it will be fairly easy to find you in cyberspace.  You would benefit business wise faster if you posted frequently to establish your presence online and give your reader the chance to get to know you and trust you.

It seems that everyday a new opportunity arises to become a part of a membership site.  And more and more businesses are implementing mebership sites as an added feature to what they offer.  There are benefits on both sides of this fence, the owner and the member.  The first benefit is for the member who wants to zero in on being in contact with like minded success thinking idividuals.  On a membership site people can share business tips and ideas, resources and just support for each other as they build their individual niches. Those that are not serious about their success journey will not be willing to pay a monthly or yearly fee to be a part of that particular group or forum.

If You Are Not Blogging, You Are Missing Out On Opportunity

What is blogging, you ask?  It is the process of posting comments, suggestions and information on a web journal in a particular area you are doing business in, researching and sharing or just communication information.  The benefits of blogging if you own a business or product that you are marketing is tremendous.  This type of information sharing can and will increase productivity and help yo develop the achievement in your area of expertise and marketing more than you know.  If you are not blogging you should be or you are missing out on a tremendous opportunity to promote yourself and your product or service.

Our Habits Pave A Path To Our Future

Your specific habits will determine the quality of your life.  Negative habits will always bring negative results as do positive habits bring positive results.  I'm sure you have heard the saying that we are all cretures of habits.  Well the fact is that statement is true. The good news is that you can reprogram yourself to develop new and different habits that enhance your life and keep you on a road to te success that you desire.  Life does not just happen to you, it comes about by your choices.  Successful people do not just float to the top.  They focused on what needed to be changed to get there and then they took action.  To develop new and successfull habits will take some time.  With the new year right around the corner, now would be a good time to identify a bad habit or two and make a plan to change them.  Changing habits takes consistancy and determination but imagine the benefits.  But after a while of doing it over and over, eventually yor new habit will become second nature and you will be on your way to new horizons.  Nothing will change until you do.  Make 2008 a year of positive progress and find some new habits for a new year of success.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Busy Does Not always Mean Productive

How many times have you noticed that things don't always go according to plan?  Most entrepreneurs are overloaded and very much out of control.  People do not realize that the brain can not be available 24/7.  The brain can not focus on two demanding things at one time therefore multi-tasking will only eventually frazzle the brain.  Just because you are busy does not mean you are being productive either.  If you are not intentional then life will be in control of you.  This is information received from Dr Edward Hallowell author of the book success book Crazy Busy.  Dr Hallowell suggests we get rid of our blackberry or turn it off for some well needed time to ourselves.  It is suggested to get a planner and set aside a fresh half hour for yourself.  Everyone has a morning burst and that time should be used to tackle more difficult tasks not to answer email.  It is also recommended to get a sufficient amount of sleep as well.  So when you find yourself stuck to your computer screen or laptop better know as "screen sucking" you know that it is time to take a "time out" and prioritize your life so that overload does not become something you get familiar with in the future.  You will find that your attitude will be more positive when you give yourself some breathing room to focus on one thing at a time and do it properly.  You will also find that you get more done as well.

A Mentor Is A Wing To Climb Under

Make no mistake, success leaves clues.  Would it not be a wise thing to do to take advantage of the experience and wisdom of someone who has already gone down the road you are traveling?  That is the part that a mentor plays.  The successful person will always be seeking guidence from those who have gone before them. The problem is that most people will not ask for assistance.  They have a preconceived notion that the experts of any field are too busy or do not want to be bothered.  This is simply not true.  They are always there for the asking.  Sometimes the mentor or coach reuires payment however, is not your future worth the investment.  As some masters in the field of personal development such as T Harv Ecker say "Every master was once a disaster". 

Coaching or mentoring can help you clarify your direction and goals in which to get you where you are going.  It holds you accountable as you travel down your path.  And it helps you stay focusedwith success thinking during the process of developing your wealth.  You will learn how to make better decisions and have a better attitude and in turn may be able to help someone else along the way.  Without a coach of some kind, it is probable that you will not reach your full potential. Listening Is A Valuable Tool

It is very inportant to know that listening is just as important in business as speaking.  Sometimes even more important.  Listening properly, yes I said properly can assist others in producing "fruit" for you. Fruit being key things that would motivate a person to take action.  You build businesses a person at a time and to do that you must make a connection that is so powerful that it will overcome any objections that would resist change.  To listen is a great tool to open up the potential in others.  Proper listening is learned.  People want to be with others who care enough to listen and share ideas with.  To do this you must b able to avoid finishing the other person's sentence, interrupt, talk too much and/or too fast.  When you are not trying to find thngs to respond with you are infact listening to what the ther person is trying to say.  Just ask yourself one question...Are you really listening to others or are you just waiting for your time to talk?  Are you seeing the world beyond through their eyes or do you just want someone to tell your story to? It is amazing what messege you will hear when you learn to actually listen to others.
